The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is tasked with examining the intricate relationship between climate change and human rights, recognizing the urgent need for comprehensive action to mitigate the adverse effects of environmental degradation on vulnerable populations worldwide. Delegates will explore the multifaceted challenges posed by climate change, including its disproportionate impact on marginalized communities, the exacerbation of existing human rights violations, and the implications for global security and stability.

Delegates are encouraged to propose innovative strategies and collaborative initiatives aimed at safeguarding human rights in the face of climate-induced displacement, food and water insecurity, loss of livelihoods, and other related challenges. Additionally, the committee will assess the role of international cooperation, climate justice, and the protection of environmental defenders in addressing the intersection of human rights and environmental sustainability.
